Welcome to The Tudor Yank
Misti Marshall is a Kentucky born, California trained film industry veteran who traded the red carpets of Hollywood for the ancient cobblestones of England. After 15 years working in the heart of the American film world, she relocated across the pond to follow a curiosity that had been building for years. This transition was more than just a change of scenery. It was a shift in perspective that allowed her to see both her home country and her new home in a completely different light.
Today, she is the creator and host of The Tudor Yank. Through her platform, she explores the deep roots of British history and the intricate social fabric of the United Kingdom. She uses her professional background in storytelling to bridge the gap between American curiosity and British heritage. Her work is characterized by a calm, measured, and often satirical lens that examines everything from 500 year old historical mysteries to the daily cultural nuances of being an American expat.
Misti describes the UK as a "beautiful new old world." Her mission is to take her audience with her as she navigates life in a place where history is not just in books, but underfoot. Whether she is investigating a hidden landmark or dissecting a cultural misconception, she provides a grounded and intellectual perspective for those who share her obsession with the past.
When she is not filming or researching Tudor history, Misti can be found exploring the streets of her new home with the same "outsider looking in" curiosity that started it all. She remains a storyteller at heart, dedicated to finding the human connection in the history that surrounds us.
